1 - Taxi, Independent A&R Company, http://www.taxi.com - Taxi is a well established independent A&R company (since 1992) that works with unsigned and indie artists to get there music placed in both Film and TV. They also work to get your music in front of major label A&R scouts. Taxi has a free newsletter chalk full of useful information, tips and links to resources. It is how we get much of our information. To fully participate in Taxi you must join, but there is a yearly fee of $299.95. So why isn't it free? It is because the attention they give you is worth something!
2 - Hit Quarters, A&R Resources, http://www.hitquarters.com/ - HitQuarters is the world's most extensive directory of A&Rs, managers, publishers and producers, based on their track records. They publish the weekly World Top 20 A&R Chart and in-depth interviews with people in the music industry. As a HitQuarters member, you can send your music to our A&R Panel, which includes several of the world's most successful A&Rs, and present it on your own web page at http://www.HitQuarters.com/TheNameYouChoose . HitQuarters is a bargin at just $15 / year. Searching for your favorite artist A&R agent is FREE but you will need to join to get the contact information!
3 - Get Signed, http://www.getsigned.com - Getsigned.com, Inc. was created in 1997 to be a place where aspiring artists of all kinds could find, in one convenient location, all the necessary tools needed for musical success. Their site is an information portal full of directories and articles to help guide you in the right direction.
4 - ICON MAGAZINE - http://www.icon-magazine.com - This is another useful music portal and directory having links to many useful A&R industry resources.
